Ankit Chhabra: Angry Young Man!!!

I know that this is been the longest wait ever!!! Sorry people, actually something or the other came in between before I could even start writing: Firstly, I wasn’t well. Secondly, I thought of inviting a guest to write (actually guest writer was about to write but as the writer was busy with wrapping up with all the project work in training/internship, guest writer couldn’t write). Thirdly, I was bored a bit to write and started reading Five Point Someone (I know I started it verrrry verrrry late). Anyways, enough of excuses as of now. Let us throw some light on Ankit Chhabra whom I consider to be a dear friend!!! Our Miss Universe and Miss World have already written a poem on him and explain much of him. But, let me revitalize everything and bring out a different but still same: Ankit Chhabra.

Ankit Chhabra, one of the Ankits in our class, is a very nice guy and quite popular among friends. The first time I met Chhabra. He came with our very own Jitesh Makhija (Yeah, the name sounds quite unfamiliar as he is well known as ‘Sunny’) to Amar Mahal. I was, as usual, sleeping. I almost wake up when they came to my room. They both looked pretty decent guys. Sunny was as usual very friendly. But, this guy was as serious as all the world’s tension was in his head. That day, we went to beach and our Chhabra was afraid of the tides of sea and was moving as far from the shore as possible. Possibly, he was thinking of another Tsunami or something. That first encounter with this guy was completely different but also a bit humorous. First impression was very good as I could see a very good friend in him. Chhabra is a dear friend of each and everyone. He is the best example of unity as he will always stand by you in any case.

Now, the characteristics of this young man. He is powerful. He is smart. Never flirts with any girl. He likes to be in group and is very helping. He is very artistic and very talented guy. Plays awesome Football, Volleyball and Cricket. He is an all-rounder. Be it sports or academics.  He is an ultimate comedian and makes all of us laugh by his silly yet funny remarks. But, but, but, when he is angry you should leave the city and go as far from him as you can. Otherwise, you will have it from this Angry Young Man. Anger. Anger. Anger. Someone elder to me once said, “Anger is the biggest foe of Human”. Leaving his anger, he is dear to each and everyone. Though his sense of humor is degrading but I am sure he will pick up again with those crackling jokes.

Now the controversies. There are many. Can’t even count them. But, as said by a very good friend ‘Zalak’ that there is no point in going back and remembering those ugly controversies or rather bad times.  So, we will just leave them and plan for future. Recently, I had a tiff with Chhabra just the day he was going to Gurgaon. All kind of #$%@#$$ started on phone itself. But, I hope that Chhabra has put down all his anger for me and will start afresh next year (he is powerful!!!).  I know he is nice guy at heart but he needs to work on his anger. We have buried our differences and are moving towards a better friendship.

People call him ‘Kaalu’, ‘Chhabdi’, etc, etc. Chhabra is a gem which we all will miss after college not only because he is a very dear friend but also is the ‘Most Entertaining Guy’ of our Group. His drawings and paintings are worth watching!!! And let me tell you that Chhabra is a very sporty guy and accepts all the hindrances coming his way and fights them like a ‘True Fighter’.

That’s all for now! I know that I have delayed this post. But, at the same time, everyone was busy wrapping up with their training/internship. So, please let me know whether this wait was worthwhile or not. Your comments really help us improve day by day. Even if you don’t like this post, please write it to us via comments or mail me on:  shaurya_coolman@yahoo.co.in

I didn’t know much about Chhabra before but comments by Shivi and Swapnil have helped me a lot to re-write this post. I am sorry if I still forgot some points but please write those via comments!!!

Thanks a lot!!!

Ankit Chhabra is a sweet guy,

His sense of humour is degradin day by day,
he looks a bit gay.

He is dark and handsome,
par usmme hai thodi akal kam.
talli hota hai pike rum.

He can mimic very well ,
he carries a sasta cell.

He maks people roll on the floor laughing ,
but he is not very good at romantic talking.

He is our sujamal,
aur woh pehnta hai tshirt with wrinkle

Apne khayalon main rehta hai gum
soom saala friends ko bulataa hai "tum"

Kuch bhi bolo muh nahin kholta,
Sade hue comments ke alawa kuch nahin bolta.

Swapnil Agarwal : The Backbone

I know this has been quite a long wait for all of you, but then you can’t control the uncontrollable. So here I am writing about the one and only Swapnil, who was chosen by Maaji to be the next Bakri. Was I surprised at the choice, not really!

I was thinking of an apt title to be given to Swapnil, when I was suggested one by Poddar. And here it is: The Backbone. Wondering what does it signify? Let me explain you.

Well, she is like the backbone of the most powerful gang of our class: The Amar Mahal gang. Everyone is so close to her and that includes Maaji, Appu and the rest of the class. Her company is cherished and enjoyed by most and her ‘Always Smiling, Always Happy’ attitude to life makes her a popular gal to hang out with.

And not only that, another reason which led to the title being selected was that she has been the backbone for mbataknonsense. She is the one who keeps commenting, starts interesting (sometimes outrageous, with too much of masala) conversations and just keeps the site going. She is the most frequent visitor and hence the title Backbone fits in really nicely in this context as well.

I hope this clears the reasons for the title. I just may as well start using it now, instead of Swapnil. Lolz

Think of the Backbone and you have her 2 idiosyncrasies in mind, which are:

When a topic is being discussed and some solution needs to be found out, she suggests in a typical manner:

‘Yadi Hum Aisa Karen Toh’ with Yadi as her favourite word.

Another one is when she is having a fun conversation and wants to show aggression, she says:

Ek Chata Laga Doongi’

These idiosyncrasies can help you in easily finding the Backbone, even in a huge crowd.

Moving on, the Backbone can be really rude at times to people without really caring about them. She also loves making fun of others and can be stubborn at times too. Well, I would be honest enough to say that I have been at the receiving end a few times. But then, she can’t go to sleep without solving the problems with her friends.

As she herself says: ‘After being rude, I realize after sometime and then I don’t feel shy or weird in saying sorry.’ So after all, it is not that bad as she makes up sooner rather than later, accepting her mistake.

She likes being surrounded by people who have a good sense of humour. And a good sense of humour is the first thing that gets her attracted towards a person. Hmm, that is interesting. So perhaps now I realize why she has never interacted with me nicely. Lolz

She gets attached to people quite fast, once she starts interacting with them. She also tends to trust people easily, almost too easily at times for her own comfort. This is something she needs to look at closely and see that it does not turn out to be her Achilles heel later in life.

The Backbone has this habit of asking a lot of stupid questions at various times, which sound a bit irritating. I remember a few she has asked in class. But then, she laughs herself after such questions and everyone laughs with her. So, it sometimes turns out be bit of a pleasant little break amidst a boring lecture, though not everytime.

One more thing I have been told is that she is a complete foodie. Well, that doesn’t surprise me one bit looking at her health. Just kidding.

After all I have said, one feeling is unanimous for her. Everyone I have consulted has said one thing which is common:

‘She is a very nice person at heart and she is extremely caring’

And this is something which I think is the most important trait in a person. Finding people good at heart is not the easiest thing to do. To have the Backbone as one of them in our class is something we should be happy about.

Well, that was all about Swapnil, the Backbone. And Swapnil, I may have misjudged you previously by the very little interaction we may have had, but after getting to know about you so much more from others, I have a change of mind. Hope to interact with you a lot more in times to come.

P.S: My sincere thanks to Meenal, Poddar, Zalak, Swati, Thanvi and also you Swapnil for helping me out with this post.

Ritesh is definitely 'The Magical Man'

Yes, the first weekly poll results have shown that you all have echoed our views regarding Ritesh.
He was given the title : The Magical Man and we asked you in return whether you thought on the same lines.

The results are as follows:

77% think that Yes, He is The Magical Man.

Only 19% think he is not and 4% can't decide.

It is almost unanimous that the tag suits Ritesh very well.
And hence, we must all stop calling him Ritesh.
Just call him the MAGICAL MAN. And spread this name as much as you can

While you do this, I will write on Swapnil, who is the next Bakri chosen by Maaji.
Do not miss the post. It is coming up very soon.
