Ankit Chhabra: Angry Young Man!!!

I know that this is been the longest wait ever!!! Sorry people, actually something or the other came in between before I could even start writing: Firstly, I wasn’t well. Secondly, I thought of inviting a guest to write (actually guest writer was about to write but as the writer was busy with wrapping up with all the project work in training/internship, guest writer couldn’t write). Thirdly, I was bored a bit to write and started reading Five Point Someone (I know I started it verrrry verrrry late). Anyways, enough of excuses as of now. Let us throw some light on Ankit Chhabra whom I consider to be a dear friend!!! Our Miss Universe and Miss World have already written a poem on him and explain much of him. But, let me revitalize everything and bring out a different but still same: Ankit Chhabra.

Ankit Chhabra, one of the Ankits in our class, is a very nice guy and quite popular among friends. The first time I met Chhabra. He came with our very own Jitesh Makhija (Yeah, the name sounds quite unfamiliar as he is well known as ‘Sunny’) to Amar Mahal. I was, as usual, sleeping. I almost wake up when they came to my room. They both looked pretty decent guys. Sunny was as usual very friendly. But, this guy was as serious as all the world’s tension was in his head. That day, we went to beach and our Chhabra was afraid of the tides of sea and was moving as far from the shore as possible. Possibly, he was thinking of another Tsunami or something. That first encounter with this guy was completely different but also a bit humorous. First impression was very good as I could see a very good friend in him. Chhabra is a dear friend of each and everyone. He is the best example of unity as he will always stand by you in any case.

Now, the characteristics of this young man. He is powerful. He is smart. Never flirts with any girl. He likes to be in group and is very helping. He is very artistic and very talented guy. Plays awesome Football, Volleyball and Cricket. He is an all-rounder. Be it sports or academics.  He is an ultimate comedian and makes all of us laugh by his silly yet funny remarks. But, but, but, when he is angry you should leave the city and go as far from him as you can. Otherwise, you will have it from this Angry Young Man. Anger. Anger. Anger. Someone elder to me once said, “Anger is the biggest foe of Human”. Leaving his anger, he is dear to each and everyone. Though his sense of humor is degrading but I am sure he will pick up again with those crackling jokes.

Now the controversies. There are many. Can’t even count them. But, as said by a very good friend ‘Zalak’ that there is no point in going back and remembering those ugly controversies or rather bad times.  So, we will just leave them and plan for future. Recently, I had a tiff with Chhabra just the day he was going to Gurgaon. All kind of #$%@#$$ started on phone itself. But, I hope that Chhabra has put down all his anger for me and will start afresh next year (he is powerful!!!).  I know he is nice guy at heart but he needs to work on his anger. We have buried our differences and are moving towards a better friendship.

People call him ‘Kaalu’, ‘Chhabdi’, etc, etc. Chhabra is a gem which we all will miss after college not only because he is a very dear friend but also is the ‘Most Entertaining Guy’ of our Group. His drawings and paintings are worth watching!!! And let me tell you that Chhabra is a very sporty guy and accepts all the hindrances coming his way and fights them like a ‘True Fighter’.

That’s all for now! I know that I have delayed this post. But, at the same time, everyone was busy wrapping up with their training/internship. So, please let me know whether this wait was worthwhile or not. Your comments really help us improve day by day. Even if you don’t like this post, please write it to us via comments or mail me on:  shaurya_coolman@yahoo.co.in

I didn’t know much about Chhabra before but comments by Shivi and Swapnil have helped me a lot to re-write this post. I am sorry if I still forgot some points but please write those via comments!!!

Thanks a lot!!!

Ankit Chhabra Redefined!!! By Swapnil and Apoorva

Ankit Chhabra is a sweet guy,
but he never wears a tie.

He is kaalu,
looks like a bhaalu.

His sense of humour is degradin day by day,
he looks a bit gay.

He is dark and handsome,
par usmme hai thodi akal kam.
talli hota hai pike rum.

He can mimic very well ,
he carries a sasta cell.

He maks people roll on the floor laughing ,
but he is not very good at romantic talking.

He is our sujamal,
aur woh pehnta hai tshirt with wrinkle

Apne khayalon main rehta hai gum
soom saala friends ko bulataa hai "tum"

Kuch bhi bolo muh nahin kholta,
Sade hue comments ke alawa kuch nahin bolta.

Humein bahut pakaya, ab hum mein nahin hai dum
Girlfriend ko pakaye ab se, yahi chahte hain hum.

Swapnil Agarwal : The Backbone

I know this has been quite a long wait for all of you, but then you can’t control the uncontrollable. So here I am writing about the one and only Swapnil, who was chosen by Maaji to be the next Bakri. Was I surprised at the choice, not really!

I was thinking of an apt title to be given to Swapnil, when I was suggested one by Poddar. And here it is: The Backbone. Wondering what does it signify? Let me explain you.

Well, she is like the backbone of the most powerful gang of our class: The Amar Mahal gang. Everyone is so close to her and that includes Maaji, Appu and the rest of the class. Her company is cherished and enjoyed by most and her ‘Always Smiling, Always Happy’ attitude to life makes her a popular gal to hang out with.

And not only that, another reason which led to the title being selected was that she has been the backbone for mbataknonsense. She is the one who keeps commenting, starts interesting (sometimes outrageous, with too much of masala) conversations and just keeps the site going. She is the most frequent visitor and hence the title Backbone fits in really nicely in this context as well.

I hope this clears the reasons for the title. I just may as well start using it now, instead of Swapnil. Lolz

Think of the Backbone and you have her 2 idiosyncrasies in mind, which are:

When a topic is being discussed and some solution needs to be found out, she suggests in a typical manner:

‘Yadi Hum Aisa Karen Toh’ with Yadi as her favourite word.

Another one is when she is having a fun conversation and wants to show aggression, she says:

Ek Chata Laga Doongi’

These idiosyncrasies can help you in easily finding the Backbone, even in a huge crowd.

Moving on, the Backbone can be really rude at times to people without really caring about them. She also loves making fun of others and can be stubborn at times too. Well, I would be honest enough to say that I have been at the receiving end a few times. But then, she can’t go to sleep without solving the problems with her friends.

As she herself says: ‘After being rude, I realize after sometime and then I don’t feel shy or weird in saying sorry.’ So after all, it is not that bad as she makes up sooner rather than later, accepting her mistake.

She likes being surrounded by people who have a good sense of humour. And a good sense of humour is the first thing that gets her attracted towards a person. Hmm, that is interesting. So perhaps now I realize why she has never interacted with me nicely. Lolz

She gets attached to people quite fast, once she starts interacting with them. She also tends to trust people easily, almost too easily at times for her own comfort. This is something she needs to look at closely and see that it does not turn out to be her Achilles heel later in life.

The Backbone has this habit of asking a lot of stupid questions at various times, which sound a bit irritating. I remember a few she has asked in class. But then, she laughs herself after such questions and everyone laughs with her. So, it sometimes turns out be bit of a pleasant little break amidst a boring lecture, though not everytime.

One more thing I have been told is that she is a complete foodie. Well, that doesn’t surprise me one bit looking at her health. Just kidding.

After all I have said, one feeling is unanimous for her. Everyone I have consulted has said one thing which is common:

‘She is a very nice person at heart and she is extremely caring’

And this is something which I think is the most important trait in a person. Finding people good at heart is not the easiest thing to do. To have the Backbone as one of them in our class is something we should be happy about.

Well, that was all about Swapnil, the Backbone. And Swapnil, I may have misjudged you previously by the very little interaction we may have had, but after getting to know about you so much more from others, I have a change of mind. Hope to interact with you a lot more in times to come.

P.S: My sincere thanks to Meenal, Poddar, Zalak, Swati, Thanvi and also you Swapnil for helping me out with this post.

Ritesh is definitely 'The Magical Man'

Yes, the first weekly poll results have shown that you all have echoed our views regarding Ritesh.
He was given the title : The Magical Man and we asked you in return whether you thought on the same lines.

The results are as follows:

77% think that Yes, He is The Magical Man.

Only 19% think he is not and 4% can't decide.

It is almost unanimous that the tag suits Ritesh very well.
And hence, we must all stop calling him Ritesh.
Just call him the MAGICAL MAN. And spread this name as much as you can

While you do this, I will write on Swapnil, who is the next Bakri chosen by Maaji.
Do not miss the post. It is coming up very soon.

Important Update

Though Utsaav chose Devang to be the next bakra, we are not going to write on him.
This is because he has put too many conditions for writing on him: dont write this and that etc.
So whatever I am going to write, he is going to edit it anyways. I am sorry people. I dont want my writing to go waste and edited completely.

We will write on someone else.

And who that will be, will be decided by Swati herself as she has got the power to do so. Her post got the best response and now she gets to decide the next bakra.
Swati can give one name straightaway or she can give us options and we will have a poll. It is upto you Swati. Decide and let us know today. Please keep Devang out of this. As I said, we wont write on him.

Utsaav Parekh: The Mysterious Man

Yes, you might be confused whether its Utsav or Utsaav but its Utsaav Parekh. Though the meaning is same as Utsav (which means festival). Even his name is much unknown to the people as the man himself. You will never know what he is up to. He is a mystery which Vyom and I are trying to solve for about 2 years but still the mystery continues. I was worried that where should I start when writing about the most mysterious man in our class. It’s not like that we don’t know about him, it’s like we are unable to ‘predict’ or guess what he is going to do now and then. Still I will try very hard to bring the ‘real’ Utsaav in front of you.

I met him in 1st year when he was wearing formals and I just hate formals. Yuck!!! He looked like a geek to me and soon I realized that he is the most boring guy I have ever met. I rarely saw him in 1st year and I didn’t even know that he was in our branch. In 2nd year, he was in hostel (12th floor). He still looked very ‘seedha saadha’ to me. And he often used to bug me when he used to come to my flat (10th floor). I avoided going to his flat initially. Soon I realized that this guy has some vision and is much disciplined. He is not a normal guy like all of us. He stands out from the crowd. Actually, it was the end of 2nd year that we realized that he has a very good sense of humor. He continues to build jokes on people as he is never part of controversies.

But, in 3rd year he was much part of such controversies:

First, he wanted to give Image Processing test which no one was in favor of. But, he had very good points for defending himself. Let me bring the truth now. Actually, some people called him that day and told that he should stand on this issue and they will be supporting him. But, as we all know we are MBA-Techians. People started playing politics. At one point they said that they were with him and at other point they were telling others that ‘Even we don’t want to give the test but if Utsaav will give even we will give’. Dirty politicians!!!

Second, he gave the assignment to Pintu Shah which was the original copy by Neha Jain which no one was giving because some people didn’t complete it. Even Neha herself didn’t give and gave a nice reply to Pintu. I didn’t understand the reason why he gave it even when the master copy builder wasn’t in favor of it. He told us the reason why he gave. He said: ‘If people think that there is Unity in our class then when they were when I needed help? I go outstation quite often and that is the time they should also show Unity then why didn’t they? ’. I still didn’t understand the connection. But, he must be having a point. I think that he should have given the assignment only when he must have written it himself but he also copied. Other controversies I am not able to remember. If there are please do tell me.

Now, let us move on to the characteristics of this guy. He is very funny guy. Makes fun of others. Especially on your inabilities!!! He is quite bugging at times. But, a very good friend of mine!

He is a pure businessman. He goes out of city so many times. We always wonder what he is up to as he is taking formal clothes, tie and what not. He rarely gets angry and when he gets then he will tease you on those matters for your whole life. Better be watchful!!! He annoys you a lot if you are going to stay for at least 15 minutes with him. Even God won’t be able to save you. He never spares anyone. He just hates people who are ‘born’ politicians. He can know the person in just first meeting. His favorite food is Chinese and then Punjabi. I still remember the days when we used to have Falooda Kulfi at around 11 pm in 2nd year. And not to forget the Chinese food at 2 am in 3rd year almost everyday. Vyom and Utsaav can never stop watching ‘Bakwaas Band Kar’ on TV which I just don’t like. The quality of jokes was not so good but they both used to laugh like anything and I just used to stare them. Oh man! Have some standards. Anyways, 3rd year just passed so easily with Utsaav cracking jokes on everyone. He never spares anyone. OK, Utsaav talks rarely to girls. I don’t know why. Many girls try to talk to him and even made fun of him. But, he didn’t respond. I am reminded of one incidence when he actually responded very well to one of the girls. He replied and we all were amazed by his remark. He knows how to handle these situations very well.

One line which he always says: ‘Duniya mein sab kuch tumhaari marzi se nahi hota’. And this is very true. This should be taken as learning by each and every MBA-Techian. We get odd situations in life and we should fight them rather than postponing and not facing them with courage. His one-liners are worth to be taken seriously. One more. It was when I was seeing a hot girl when we were traveling in an auto. He said: ‘Tujhe usme rab nahi dikhta to tu use kyon dekhta’. I just laughed. Well, he may be true but that was a bit funny when he said it. This I didn’t take it seriously as it was meant to be a joke. One thing which made him angry with him was when we had a very controversial discussion. Also he keeps on reminding me when I teased him on ‘Ambani’ and other things.

Well, he might be different but he is one of us. He is a ‘vichitra praani’ like our Group. He is quite mysterious as you have to take good amount of time to know the ‘real’ Utsaav. That is the reason people rarely find a friend in him. I think people should make him good friend and let him explore girls. Girls, please help him. Otherwise he will have a very bad time later in his life. Just kidding!

That’s all from my side. I think Vyom will be able to explain properly on him as they both are Best Friends.

The response was overwhelming for the last post on Swati aka Maaji aka Ammaaji. Hoping for at least half the number of comments on this post.

Utsaav Parekh hasn’t even seen the post. But, told me to post it. This is what Utsaav is all about. He never cares what people talk or write about him. He is a MYSTERIOUS FIGHTER!!! Cheers Bro!!!

Swati Seshadri urf MAAJI

Well, I expected good response to the post on The Magical Man, but really, the number of comments has surpassed my expectations. Quite astonishing!!!

Now, it is time for someone else to steal the limelight. The Magical Man gave us 3 options to choose from: Swati, Meenal and Zalak ( Surprise Surprise all of them were gals :)) ). The voting results were staggering: Swati 19, Meenal 2 and Zalak 1. The overwhelming majority in favor of Swati suggests only one thing: While The Magical Man is the hot favorite boy in the class, there is no competition for Swati among gals.
And Swati let me assure you, this wasn’t planned. You have won fair and square. Lolz

First of all, Swati is more famously known as MAAJI. Well, I haven’t understood the logic behind this name yet. Does she look like MAAJI? Does she behave like MAAJI? Or there is something else which I haven’t been able to fathom out so far. Whatever is the case, I am sure I will get some insight into this after this post.

Moving on, What is the first thing that has come to my mind when writing about MAAJI? It is undoubtedly her popularity, especially among guys. Honestly, I haven’t heard so much about anyone’s life than I have heard about MAAJI. As they say, If you are so popular, then expect to be in the firing line (in the news) as well.
I have been told that X, Y, Z etc have had crushes on MAAJI and have tried to propose her (I have no idea what the Truth is) and after listening I was like how lucky she is :)) . Well, I can only confirm one infamous proposal, which MAAJI very politely and diplomatically rejected. I hope you got the point. Rest of them (if at all they happened), I have absolutely no idea. So MAAJI, don’t kill me for this. I have been just told about them. They may be just plain rumors. But as I said, you would have to live with these things. Anyway, I think not all would be rumours. Am i right people??? Throw some light please :))

If you thought MAAJI is popular just for the above, then you are wrong. She is the TOPPER (scary CGPA which is over 3.80/4) of MBA-Tech I.T. The Magical Man is the topper for the current trimester and has been having a dream run over the last year, but still he has a long way to go before he can come close to MAAJI. Being the topper brings with it some responsibilities, doesn’t it? As the exam time approaches, she is the Focal Point or should I say Centre of Attraction. After all, she is the one from where the CHAIN begins for copying. And I must say, she does an admirable job in helping people boost their GPA’s. So, she scores herself and scores for others too.

Kitni Dayalu ho MAAJI ap !!!

She is the girl with the BIG eyes (which sometimes may scare you too) and BIG ambitions. And don’t get me wrong, she has the qualities of hard work, intelligence, determination and commitment to fulfill them. She seems to be quite attached to her friends and is quite game to going out of the way to help them. She is always seen smiling and happily chatting around with them. Atleast that is what I think. Tell me if you think differently…

Well, that is just about it. I really don’t know much more about her (though the rumors keep coming :)) ) For more info on MAAJI, please contact –h-u-y- -r-v-s-a-a . Just kidding.

Hoping for a similar, if not a better response for this post as well. It was pleasure writing about MAAJI…

Thank you MAAJI for not editing anything. Cheers…

Ritesh Jain: The Magical Man

I would first of all like to tell you that this is our first post on this blog. Here we will be discussing about ‘anokha’ MBA-Tech Group (MPSTME, NMIMS University). I have been in many groups in my life but when I came to this NMIMS University, I was more than amazed by this unique and extra-ordinary group. We will be writing on MBA-Tech (IT) 2006-2011 Batch. We are about 26 techno-managers (so-called) and this bunch of naughty people has been making everyone crazy from time to time. Everyone was telling me why I was writing about MBA-Tech. Other people write about economy, cricket, football, peace, literature, politics, etc. Then why am I writing on this particular group of people. Its because this group has really amazed me from time to time. They have so much of talent and energy that they will surely make everyone surprised by their enormous potential. ‘Never say die’ spirit is embedded (to be more technical) in them.

Now, I would also like to tell you that we post these only after taking consent of the person we are writing about. Editing can be done by that person. Then only we will be posting that material. I hope you will enjoy yourself and make some comments which will be quite beneficial for us while writing about more and more people.

Our first ‘bakra’ is Ritesh Jain. Before writing this, I asked him whether I can write on him or not. He wasn’t much in favor of it and was constantly repeating ‘Pehle Main Kyon??? Koi aur Bakra nahi mila kya’. Sorry Ritesh Babu, oh sorry ‘Bhaiya’- as we call him, is our ‘First Bakra’. He was chosen by us not because he is a controversial guy but he has the amazing combination of ‘Maximum Talent + Jugaad’ in our Group.

He is ‘topper’ in our class. He sings. He bats well (even if balls are coming in his way or not). He has very good knowledge about each and every field. Most importantly he is ‘Jugaadi’. I am amazed at his ability to make things come his way even if they are not. He is a sweet-heart of teachers. ‘Bhaiya ko kuch bhi kaam bolo, woh kar ke dikhayega’. He will give you suggestions from time to time which will surely help you a lot in your long run. People have a misconception that he gets everything he wants and he is a ‘Jugaadi’. This is totally baseless. He works hard for those things and he gets the results. He is not a so-called ‘Jugaadi’; he is very practical and makes things work because of his talent and hard-work. This comment may divide our group in 2 divisions- one who will support my view and other who will say that ‘no yaar....he is just making things work because of his luck and jugaad’. People have been saying this consistently for 3 years that he has ‘Golden Luck’. But I say that he has got luck because he believes in himself and work diligently for a purpose and he never expects success. He takes failure as his learning experience. And he considers success as a ladder to a new path.

Let me also tell you about my first experience with him. We were about to go for ‘Mumbai Darshan’ and I saw this guy with eyes-popping out and trying his luck here and there. He was not in hostel and we were watching him as he was trying his luck with some girl. I didn’t like him at first. And even after that incidence which everyone knows about (spat between both of us). But gradually I realized that ‘Yeh Banda Bura nahi hai’.

I hated him like anything but now he has shown some respect to me and I too. I respect him. Yes, you are hearing it correctly. My views have changed totally (upside down). I consider him to be my ‘brother’ now. He has been supporting me a lot this year and I need his support in lifetime. I will be supporting him whenever he needs it but you know that he is a ‘Magical Man’. He doesn’t need anyone’s support. He stands out from crowd. He has a very good potential to become a leader. Actually, he is a leader.According to me, he is the most mature and practical man in our Group.

He is hot favorite in girls. He is social and parties a lot. He does everything. Gets a nice GPA. He is an all-rounder. And most importantly, he makes things work even in hard times. That’s why he is our – “MAGICAL MAN”.

MAGICAL MAN RITESH is sure to make us wonder much more when he steps into the Corporate World and make everyone of us proud. Spell your Magic in the entire World. Cheers to you ‘Bhaiya’!!!

This post was sent to Ritesh and I am glad to tell you that he didn’t edit it at all!!! So you just viewed the exact copy of what I wrote. Thanks to you, Bhaiya!!!
